Biographies

Emma Larson, ACMHC

Emma Larson is a graduate of the University of Mary in North Dakota, earning both a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology as well as a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. While working towards becoming a counselor, Emma has dedicated much of her working life to the service of others. Starting as a barista in a bookstore, she leant her ear to the woes of late-night customers. She then moved into working with adults with intellectual disabilities, providing community-based support. Just before beginning her master’s program, Emma began working with Imperial House as a Teaching Assistant. Emma has taken on a multitude of jobs while working at Imperial which have allowed her to develop strong relationships with every member of the team. As a counselor, Emma’s objective is to meet individuals where they are, identify their goals, and support them in their progress. Emma has experience working with individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. When not at work, Emma can be found perusing the aisles at Barnes and Noble, chatting up vendors at the farmer’s market, or climbing rocks in the Wasatch Range.
