Our Day Program Gives Your Daughter Flexible Support.

Our Day Treatment Program (PHP) provides intensive therapeutic and academic support for adolescent girls Monday through Friday — with the same clinical team, evidence-based therapies, and individualized care as our residential program. Your daughter gets the focused treatment she needs while coming home to your family each evening.

A Day in the Life at Imperial Healing House

Every day at Imperial has a rhythm — structured enough to feel safe, flexible enough to feel human. Here's what a typical day looks like for your daughter:
7:00 AM
Wake up, morning routine, and mindfulness check-in
8:00 AM
Chef-prepared breakfast together as a community
8:45 AM
Morning process group
9:00 AM
Academics (small class, individualized coursework)
12:00 PM
Lunch — fresh, chef-prepared meal with the group
Every girl's schedule varies slightly based on her treatment plan, therapy rotation, and phase level. As she recovers, off-campus activities open up! The goal is a day that feels full but not overwhelming — healing takes energy, and rest matters too.

She's struggling, but she's not in crisis

Your daughter is dealing with anxiety, depression, school avoidance, self-harm, or other emotional challenges — and outpatient therapy isn't enough anymore. She needs more structure and more intensive support, but she doesn't need around-the-clock residential care. The day program gives her access to daily therapy, a clinical team, peer support, and academic structure while allowing her to stay connected to her family and home routine each evening.

She's stepping down from residential treatment.

Your daughter has completed a residential program — at Imperial or another facility — and she's made real progress. But she's not quite ready to jump straight back into regular life without a safety net. The day program provides a supported bridge, helping her practice the skills she's learned in an environment that's less structured than residential but more supported than outpatient.

Your family needs a more affordable option.

You know your daughter needs intensive help, and you've explored residential treatment — but the cost is a barrier. We understand. Our day program provides the same clinical quality, the same therapists, and the same evidence-based treatment as our residential program — at a significantly lower cost. We also work with insurance to maximize your coverage. Choosing the day program isn't settling. It's getting your daughter real help within your family's means.

The same expert care — every day

One of the things that makes Imperial's Day Program different is that it's not a separate, scaled-back version of our residential program.

Your daughter works with the same licensed therapists, participates in the same evidence-based treatment modalities, and receives the same individualized attention as our residential students. Her treatment plan includes:

Individual Therapy

Regular one-on-one sessions with a licensed therapist who knows her story and adjusts her plan as she grows.

Group Therapy

Daily process groups and DBT skills groups where she builds connections with peers and practices relational skills in real time.

Family Therapy

Weekly family sessions are a core part of the day program. Because your daughter is living at home, family therapy takes on even greater importance — you're practicing new skills together every single evening.

Experiential & Recreational Therapy

Equine therapy, jiu-jitsu, yoga, art, and music aren't extras. They're essential parts of healing that help your daughter process emotions, build confidence, and develop coping skills she'll carry for life.

Medication Management

Our team coordinates with your daughter's prescriber to ensure her medication plan is working and adjusted as needed throughout treatment.

School doesn't stop

Academic support is built into every day of the program. Your daughter attends our Cognia-accredited academic program alongside residential students, which means her credits transfer directly to her home school.

For many girls in our day program, school has become a source of anxiety, avoidance, or failure. Our small class sizes and teaching mentors help her rebuild her relationship with learning in a low-pressure, supported environment.

Whether she needs credit recovery, is ahead of her grade level, or just needs help getting back on track after a rough stretch, we meet her where she is.

We coordinate with your daughter's home school to make sure her academic plan aligns with what she needs for a smooth transition back — whether that's next semester or next year.

Family healing happens in real time

Here's something unique about the day program: because your daughter comes home each evening, your family becomes the practice ground for everything she's learning in therapy.

That DBT skill she worked on this morning? She's using it at the dinner table tonight. The boundary she set in group therapy? She's testing it with her siblings this weekend.

The communication tool you learned in family therapy? You're using it in real time, not in a hypothetical.

Weekly Family Therapy

You and your daughter will work with a therapist together every week. These sessions focus on rebuilding communication, processing pain, and learning how to support each other through the healing process.

Parent Empowerment Classes

These classes give you the tools to hold space for your daughter's growth — even on the hard days.

You're not just a visitor in your daughter's healing journey. You're an active participant — every single day.

How we approach healing

We help the whole person heal their mind, body, and heart.

Your daughter isn't a diagnosis. She's a complex, capable young woman who is struggling — and she needs more than just talk therapy to heal. Our approach integrates clinical therapy, physical wellness, creative expression, and family work because lasting change doesn't happen in a vacuum. It happens when every part of her life is supported.

We use a trauma-informed lens for everything we do.

Many of the girls who come to Imperial have experienced trauma — whether that's a single event, ongoing stress, or relational wounds that built up over time. Our entire team is trained to understand how trauma affects the brain and behavior. That means your daughter won't be punished for trauma responses. She'll be met with understanding, taught new skills, and empowered to build a different relationship with her emotions.

We believe real change is internalized, not forced.

We use a model grounded in the stages of change — which simply means we meet your daughter wherever she is in her readiness. Some girls arrive angry and resistant. That's okay. Our team knows how to build trust with girls who don't want to be here yet. We don't force breakthroughs. We create the conditions for them.
