Biography

Lorna graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science which provided her with research studies and experiences in program collaboration and creation. She has a passion for being part of a facility that provides a safe calming space where clients can truly heal. Lorna has worked in the area of Residential Programming in various capacities for over 20 years. She was a director for another facility for the past 5 years prior to moving over to Imperial. She has implemented and worked with several different residential programming models. Through this experience, she has learned that programming that is centered around a Trauma-Informed approach contributes more greatly to clients healing. She has observed and believes that the Trauma-Informed Care approach drives a nurturing and structured method to programming which facilitates a safe and calm space to support clients in sustained long term healing.
